I love Mary Oliver’s poems. I love to walk with her scenery through those magical, simple words. Like the one pagraph I read this morning:

I often think of Beethoven
rising, when he couldn’t sleep,
stumbling through the dust and crumpled papers,
yawning, settling at the piano,
inking in rapidly note after note after note.

~Mary Oliver, 1935, Dream Work

In my upcoming show: Winter Joy, the simple images came from “note after note” – it is often the result of many mistakes and trying… Finally there is one sastisfying composition that I can settle with. The opening is on Jan. 25, 2019, Pause Gallery at the downtown Troy, NY. You are cordially invited! Please read Dr. Robert R. Shane’s essay on the show here: https://www.yeachintsaifineart.com/the-musicality-and-mysticism-of-the-mundane
